Developers & Data Licensing Terms of Service

Acceptance of terms

These Data License Terms (“Terms”) govern any structured travel data (“Licensed Data”) purchased through WanderVlogs's Developers & Data Licensing page, on a Snapshot, 3-month, or 12-month plan, covering the content tier and countries listed on your invoice or Request Access confirmation. By paying for access, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Licensed Data.

These Terms apply in addition to, not instead of, our general Terms of Service. Where the two conflict on a matter specific to licensed data, these Terms control.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms for future purchases. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Changes do not apply retroactively to a term you have already paid for.

License and acceptable use

Subject to payment and these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Licensed Data to build, operate, and improve your own product, an AI travel planner, AI travel agent, RAG tool, travel chatbot, or other travel-tech product, internally and for your own users. This includes storing it, indexing it, training or fine-tuning models on it, running research or analysis on it, and surfacing it inside your product's own output: an itinerary, a chat answer, a search result.

This license extends to derived data you build from the Licensed Data as part of your product, including embeddings, search indexes, normalized entities, and ranking signals. It also extends to using the Licensed Data to generate or enrich output delivered through your own APIs, embedded products, or white-label implementations built for a third-party business, provided the raw Licensed Data, or a substantial extract of it, is never exposed or transferred to that third party.

The API and white-label extension described above is limited to products or implementations that reach up to 500 downstream business clients or 1,000,000 monthly end users. Reaching beyond either threshold requires a separate enterprise license agreement with us, entered into before that use begins.

Prohibited uses

• Reselling, re-licensing, or otherwise passing on the raw dataset, or a substantial extract of it, to a third party as a standalone data product.
• Publishing place descriptions, tips, or Q&A from the Licensed Data verbatim as public, search-indexed pages built to rank for the same destination queries WanderVlogs targets. Using the data inside your product's own generated output is permitted, republishing it wholesale as your own public content is not.
• Representing the Licensed Data as something your company independently gathered, verified, or sourced.
• Using the Licensed Data in violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.

Attribution

Any place, tip, or Q&A you show to your end users must keep a visible link back to the original YouTube video and channel it came from. This is not about crediting WanderVlogs, you are not required to display our name or logo anywhere in your product. It is about crediting the traveler and channel whose real experience the content is based on, so your users can verify it for themselves. If you use the Licensed Data purely for internal processing, reasoning, or ranking, without displaying the specific place, tip, or Q&A to an end user, no attribution is required.

Data freshness

The Licensed Data is a periodic export, not a live feed. You must not represent it to your users as real-time or continuously updated. On 3-month and 12-month plans, your data refreshes once a month, on the 28th, reflecting everything processed through that date. On a Snapshot, it reflects a single point in time and will not update.

Video removal and creator requests

WanderVlogs references publicly available YouTube content under YouTube's own Terms of Service, not under an exclusive grant from the creator. If a video is removed from the WanderVlogs platform, whether due to a creator request, our own content policies, or aging out of our four-year content refresh cycle, it will simply no longer appear in your next scheduled export. This does not create any obligation for you to remove or stop using anything you received or derived from that video prior to its removal.

Term, renewal, and what happens after

Every plan is a single upfront payment. Nothing is a subscription and nothing auto-renews.

• Snapshot: you receive one export. Your right to keep using it in your product does not expire.
• 3-month / 12-month: you receive a fresh export every month for the length of your term. When the term ends, refreshes stop, but you keep the right to keep using everything already delivered, including any derived data, embeddings, or indexes you've built from it. Getting new data after that requires a new purchase.

Ownership

WanderVlogs owns the Licensed Data. These Terms give you the right to use it as described above, they do not transfer ownership or grant you exclusivity over any place, country, or piece of content. Embedded or referenced videos remain the property of their creators and platforms; nothing here transfers ownership of that content to you.

The tips and Q&A included in the Licensed Data are derived, structured summaries of what was said in a video, tied to a specific place and timestamp. They are not verbatim transcript excerpts or direct quotes, and do not reproduce the creator's original expression.

Delivery

Licensed Data is delivered to the destination you choose, S3, FTP, Dropbox, or a private Google Drive folder shared to your work email, as agreed at the time of purchase or separately in writing. We do not control the availability of any third-party service used for delivery, and we are not responsible for delivery delays or interruptions caused by those services. Your use of any third-party delivery destination is subject to that provider's own terms.

Your application, your responsibility

Whatever you build with the Licensed Data, an AI travel planner, a chatbot, a recommendation engine, is entirely your product, not ours. WanderVlogs has no involvement in how you design it, what it tells your users, or any decisions your users make based on it. You are solely responsible for testing, validating, and standing behind your own application, including any travel advice, recommendations, prices, bookings, or answers it generates using the Licensed Data.

Disclaimers

THE LICENSED DATA IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Place details, prices, and traveler tips reflected in the Licensed Data can change after extraction. We do not guarantee that the Licensed Data is complete, accurate, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE LICENSED DATA. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY APPLICATION, PRODUCT, OR SERVICE YOU BUILD USING THE LICENSED DATA, INCLUDING ITS OUTPUTS, ITS ACCURACY, OR ANY HARM TO YOUR END USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO A LICENSE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID FOR THAT LICENSE.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold WanderVlogs harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your application, your use of the Licensed Data, or your breach of these Terms.

Termination

We may terminate your access to the Licensed Data if you materially breach these Terms, for example by reselling the raw dataset or stripping attribution, and do not fix it within a reasonable period after we notify you. If we terminate for breach, the current term is not refunded.

Governing law & venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of laws principles. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Colombo, Sri Lanka, for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms.
