Copyright Notice
Effective date: July 10, 2026
Overview
WanderVlogs respects the rights of video creators and copyright holders. This page explains how we use YouTube video content, how creators can request removal of their content from the Service, and how anyone can report a copyright concern. It supplements the โVlog creatorsโ section of our Terms of Service.
How we use YouTube content
- We embed videos directly from YouTube using YouTube's own embed player. Videos are never downloaded, re-hosted, copied, or altered.
- We extract factual travel information from publicly available videos, such as place names, locations, activities, and practical tips, and paraphrase it into our own written descriptions. We do not quote or reproduce a creator's spoken narration verbatim.
- We do not reproduce or display substantial portions of a creator's spoken narration or transcript as our own content.
- Every page that features a video or an insight extracted from it, including pages generated through WanderGuide, includes a direct, visible link back to the creator's YouTube channel.
- Thumbnails are retrieved through YouTube's official API and displayed unmodified, consistent with YouTube's branding and attribution requirements.
Creators using WanderBoost
When a creator submits their own video to WanderBoost, they are directing us to create a structured destination page from that specific video and confirming they have the right to do so. This is separate from, and in addition to, the removal rights described below, a creator can request that their WanderBoost page be taken down at any time using the same process.
Creator removal requests
If you are the creator of a video featured on WanderVlogs and want it removed from the Service, email vloggers@wandervlogs.com with:
- The URL of the WanderVlogs page featuring your video.
- A link to your original YouTube video or channel.
- Confirmation that you are the creator (or authorized to act on their behalf).
We process creator removal requests within 24 hours. Removal takes the page down or delists the video; it does not affect your video on YouTube in any way, since we never host a copy of it.
Reporting a copyright concern
If you believe content on WanderVlogs infringes a copyright you hold, in a way not covered by the creator removal process above, email vloggers@wandervlogs.com with the following information so we can investigate promptly:
- The URL of the WanderVlogs page you believe infringes your rights.
- A description of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.
- Your contact information (name, email, and, if applicable, the organization you represent).
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
We review and respond to valid notices within 24 hours. WanderVlogs is operated from Sri Lanka and is not a registered DMCA agent under U.S. law, but we honor legitimate copyright and removal requests from anywhere in the world under this same process.
Good faith and false claims
Please only submit a request if you genuinely hold the rights in question or are authorized to act on the rights holder's behalf. Submitting a knowingly false or bad-faith claim may result in us disregarding future requests from the same sender.
